View of the beach on the chukchi sea at skull cliff, south of barrow, alaska by about 30 miles.

The beach is covered by a coarse black sand with some local accumulations of pebbles, and near the top of the beach, some large sandstone cobbles. Concentrated on the berm of the beach are piles of seaweed and shells brought up by a recent storm. You can collect modern shells from the beach by pressing the button below.
