You are standing at the top of the cliff (blue arrow), looking in the direction of the green arrow.
Digging a small trench into these exposures reveals that there are at least two distinct layers of peat here. These peat beds are surrounded by fine grained silty sands. This sediment is entirely unconsolidated.
