Folded sands and silts in Tuapaktushak

These are poorly consolidated, interbedded sands and mudrocks. They are deformed into folds with an amplitude of one to several meters. There are fossil shells as float on the surface of this unit, but none are found if you dig into the sediments. The float could be derived from the overlying sediments.
