 K-T Boundary Clay

The K-T boundary is marked here by a clay within a thin lignitic coal. The boundary clay contains elevated levels of iridium, as well as shocked quartz grains.

You are currently at the K-T boundary. These rocks are labeled 3 on the section at right. You may return to a view of the vicinity of the boundary, or click anywhere on the section at right to explore further.
